Jared has a distinguished track record of building some of the world’s most innovative companies. He has held significant leadership positions, serving as Chief Strategy Officer at Chime, Snapchat, and AOL, General Counsel at Spotify, and CEO of HuffPost & SVP of News at Verizon. He was also a senior executive at Google.
In addition to his executive roles, Jared co-founded two successful startups: Pupil, an ed-tech company backed by Owl Ventures, and Shake, a legal-tech startup acquired by Legal Shield. He previously served on the boards at Newsela and SoulCycle.
He has been recognized for his significant contributions to the tech industry, including Adweek’s Class of Young Influentials, Business Insider’s Silicon Valley Top 100, and CNN/Money/Fortune’s list of five of Tech’s most powerful lawyers. Jared holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, a JD with Honors from the University of Chicago Law School, and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.

A selected few DEMO companies will have the opportunity to pitch in front of the audience after the startup exhibition. Tuition-deductible prizes will be awarded to the top Trojan companies as selected by a panel of judges consisting of investors, faculty, and industry professionals.
