ABOUT

Internships have become the new normal for high school students looking to succeed in college and the workforce. However, the process is rife with inequities: students with connections/experience secure opportunities while the rest of students are left behind. High school guidance departments—often the main source of career planning for students—are struggling to keep pace with the demand for experiential learning. After speaking with over 60 schools across 7 states, we learned that many districts have trouble with placing their students in internships and maintaining enough opportunities year-after-year.
